Ceremonies at the clerk office are $30. Cash and credit cards accepted. No checks. Certified copies of a Sunrise marriage record are $3 each.
Fees are the same no matter which Broward County city you call home. Sunrise residents pay exactly what everyone else in the county pays.
How to Search Sunrise Marriage Records
Check the Broward County Clerk records request portal for marriage records. The county has had records since 1915. You can search by name at no charge. Results include both parties and the marriage date.
For records not in the online system, the clerk office in Fort Lauderdale can check paper files. Some very old Sunrise records may only exist in paper form. Call ahead or visit in person to ask for a manual search.
State records are available too. The Florida Department of Health stores marriage records from 1927. A certified copy from the state is $5, plus $4 for each additional. VitalChek handles online orders with a service fee. But for Sunrise marriages, the county route is usually faster and cheaper.
