Marriage License Fees in St. Johns County
The standard fee for a St. Johns County marriage license is $86. With proof of a premarital course, the cost drops to $61. Section 741.0305 of the Florida Statutes gives this discount. The course must be from an approved provider and done within one year of applying. It also waives the three-day waiting period for Florida residents. Out-of-state couples do not have a waiting period.
The license fee includes a $2 application charge and a $25 payment to the Domestic Violence Trust Fund. Section 741.01 sets these amounts. The clerk collects it all at once.
