The course also waives the three-day waiting period under Florida Statute 741.0305. It must be completed within one year of applying for the license.
The fee includes a $2 application charge and $25 for the Domestic Violence Trust Fund as set by Section 741.01. Cash and other standard payment methods are accepted at both Pasco County offices. After the ceremony, the signed license is returned to the clerk. The Pasco County Clerk records it into the official records and sends the information to the state. One free certified copy goes to the couple once the license is recorded. Additional copies can be ordered for a fee.
Note: Pasco County is one of only a few counties in Florida that charges above $86 for a standard marriage license.
