Both parties must be present at the same time to apply for a license. Each person needs a valid government photo ID such as a driver license, passport, or military ID. If either person applying has been married before, the exact date of the last divorce, death, or annulment is needed. Under Florida Statutes Chapter 741, both parties sign an affidavit with their true ages. Section 741.04 sets this rule.
